We had a Board meeting last Wednesday and here's what we did:
  • Decided to continue to serve Root Beer Floats at the WSP Days Open House (this year's event is Wed., May 13 from 5-7 p.m.)
  • Heard about Club Service's proposed Charter Night plans, which may include dinner and a community service event rolled into one! We are thinking about dining at a nearby establishment and then at the same location, switching gears to pack food for Harvest Pack, William's non-profit.  Stay tuned for details
  • Voted on recommending President Scott's new Board for 2015-16, which will be voted on by the entire Club at an upcoming meeting.  The proposed Board includes:
    • President Scott Burger
    • Treasurer Mike Lethert
    • Secretary Kori Land
    • Vocational Bridget Nason
    • Community Service Bud Shaver/Rick Toboz
    • Club Service Patt Erickson/Rayna Sturmer/Johanna Mohwinkel
    • Membership Colleen Watson/John Murphy
    • Foundation Susan Hommes
    • World Service Bob Gullick
    • Public Relations Marv Karth
  • Approved a donation request of $1,000 for Fishing for Fun.  We will be recognized for our financial support to the organization with a WSP/MH Rotary Club patch that will be attached to the life jackets!
This is Rotary Rose pay your money to Scott time!  Scott anxiously awaits getting your Rotary Rose money so please pay him as soon as possible.  He will tally the results of the rose sales and hopefully tell us how much we made next week!!  Oh - the anticipation - the excitement - the suspense!!
We recently recognized Ken Neustel with a Paul Harris Fellow for his donations to Rotary International. This was Ken's second Paul Harris Fellow, which means that he has reached a donation level of $2,000 to Rotary International.  We have many others in the Club who have received Paul Harris Fellows.  If you are interested in how you can become a Paul Harris Fellow, contact Susan Hommes, the Foundation Chair. Ken is in the center flanked by President Grant Westall and Past President Bob Gullick.  They are really much more excited about it than they look.
On Wed., March 11, we hosted the State of the City Address in conjunction with the Northern Dakota County Regional Chamber. It was well attended!
