Are you looking for more ways to plug into Rotary? Here are some ideas:
- Loaves & Fishes THIS WEEK - THURSDAY, Feb. 7. Just in case you missed it last week, please show up at 3:30 to help cook, 4:30 to serve and then stay to clean up. You can be out of there by 6:30 if there are enough helpers. In this cold weather there may be a lot of people looking for a warm place to go for a good meal. They need our welcoming friendly faces and giving hearts. Please come if you can. You'll be glad that you sacrificed your time and staying in your warm house to help others less fortunate. (insert guilt trip here, in case it wasn't dripping off the page)
- Summit Brewery Happy Hour. Thursday, Feb. 21. Yes, Rotary District 5960 likes its pub crawl tours! Join the District in a Happy Hour at Summit Brewery in St. Paul. Not really an opportunity to serve, but an opportunity to talk to other Rotary people ABOUT serving. (see what I did there?)
- The District Literacy Team. Our district is looking for team members to help promote literacy throughout the district. Projects include Little Free Libraries, Reach Out and Read, and Books for newborns. Please contact Al Drazil at zdra0004@umn.edu or 951-675-9838 or visit the Rotary District 5960 web page and click on the Vocational Page.
- Fundraising ideas. Our Club is always open to exploring new fundraisers. We still have Rotary Roses coming in April and that is on schedule. However, we thought we might take a break from Moonstruck - but only if we have a replacement in place. So, contact Bridget, contact me, contact any member of the Board if you have an idea and a way to get it off the ground!
