Belmont and Redwood Shores Rotary Club inducted Jerome Burstein as our first new member of the 2026-2027 year.
We inducted Jerome Burstein as our first new member of the year, with the oath jointly administered by Past District Governor Mary Bates from the Rotary Club of Foster City and President Joyce. Jerome received his Rotary pin, membership certificate, and name badge, and shared a few words referencing John Madden's advice to rookies: learn how to fit in among the all-stars. Jerome framed his own goal the same way, figuring out how to fit in and contribute going forward.
Mary also shared a bit of Rotary history: the wheel traces back to four businessmen in the early 1900s who rotated between each other's businesses to share knowledge. That idea is now 118 years old and spans more than 3,500 clubs worldwide.
