Hello Fellow Rotarian Club Members and Guests,

It truly is my intent to represent our West Covina Sunrise Rotary Club in a fashion of a servants heart.  I am honored to have been chosen to fill this chair and promise to do the best I can to maintain, sustain and grow our members.  More over, the fellowship created during our time together, that it be reflective of each and every one of you.  As it is the reason for our clubs existence.  There is a new word I recently learned, Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning 'humanity to others'. It also means 'I am what I am because of who we all are'. The diversity that we as Rotarians all bring reminds me of this meaning.  Again, thank you for this privilege to serve as Club President which I embrace with the utmost integrity each one of you deserves.

God bless you and your families,

Christian Israel Ramos

On March 14, 2018 The West Covina All Stars took on Hawk Hoops NBA players.  Needless to say, the game was filled with high jinx, some basketball (mostly by the NBA players) and loads of family fun.  Raising over $13,000 for youth scholarships.  Players were available after the game to sign pictures and autographs.  A special thank you to all that attended.
On October 28, 2017, the West Covina Sunrise Rotary Club helped honor the legacy of Enrique "Kiki" Camarena with the annual Red Ribbon Rally at West Covina High School.  We were joined by US DEA, Police, Fire, Businesses, Local Service Clubs, and West Covina Unified School District as we educated our youth on the dangers of drugs.  The event featured a Free pancake breakfast sponsored by IHop, Trackless train, bounce houses, and entertainment all morning.  Over 2000 residents came for the food, toured the booths, and stayed for the exhibitions by WCUSD youth entertainment groups and clubs, Fire and Police.  As was the case in prior years, mid-morning the sky came to life with the popular DEA helicopter landing.
