This week's speaker, Clayton Lee from the Sacramento Rotary Club, will share about the International Service Committee of the Rotary Club of Sacramento, which has participated in numerous international service projects and global grants in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH).
Marketing for a Cause
Last week's speaker was Jen Esparza of The Jen Advantage, who focuses on providing authentic communication and marketing solutions for small businesses, churches, and nonprofits. She shared the secrets to great marketing, like knowing your audience, consistency is key, having a plan and what about AI.
Blood Drive
We combined forces with the Victory High School Interact Club putting Service Above Self in a blood drive last week. It was a great opportunity to support the Victory High School Interact Club and to donate blood to help save lives.
Featured below are Scott Hutton and Chris Delaney, embodying service above self donating blood.
Creek Clean-up Project
Join Us for the South Placer Rotary Club Creek Clean-up Project!
Date: Saturday, March 29, 2025 Time: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM (or until we complete the activity) Location: Check-in at the trailhead between 5285 Whitney Blvd and 5305 Whitney Blvd (Farron Street entrance to Johnson Springview Park)
The South Placer Rotary Club, in collaboration with the City of Rocklin and Jacob Roe, Associated Students of Sierra College Director of Student Affairs, invites you to participate in our Creek Clean-up Project & Nature Preservation Activity and the 21 People for 21 Years Project!
This is a great opportunity to give back to the community, protect our natural spaces, and enjoy a rewarding day outdoors. Volunteers will help with an oak tree preservation plan to address the impact of the beavers, which involves painting at the base of the trees, removing litter, and contributing to the preservation of our local creeks and parks.
What to Bring:
Comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes
Work gloves (if available)
Reusable water bottle
A positive attitude and a willingness to make a difference!
All ages are welcome! Community service hours are available for students. Supplies and refreshments will be provided. Let’s work together to keep our local environment clean and thriving!
For questions or more information, please contact Ken Broadway.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Rocklin Brewfest
The Rocklin Brewfest is Placer County's Premier Beer Event, put on by our club, the premier club of District 5180. This is our big fundraising event, so don't forget there are many opportunities to serve and support the club. Reminder: We all are part of the committee, so let's get out there and sell some tickets. If you have any questions or want to help with planning and at the event, reach out to Chris Delaney.
