This week's speaker is Steve Turner, our District 5180 Governor. He is joining us for the governor's annual visit to listen and learn from our members, share program updates, and recognize contributions. Also, our Club's monthly Board Meeting has been moved to the hour before our weekly lunch meeting to coincide with Steve's visit.
City of Rocklin Measure B
Last week, Cherri Spriggs, CEO of Meraki Public Affairs and Executive Director of Placer Business Alliance, shared about the benefits of Measure B, a half-cent sales tax to reduce traffic congestion and build transportation projects in South Placer County, including widening 65, fixing the 80/65 interchange bottleneck, and improvements to Baseline road.
Rotary Creek Clean-up Project
Our Creek Clean-up project this past Saturdaywas a great success. We had a good turnout of helpers and removed a bunch of trash from the area. Below are some pictures of our hardworking team.

Hot Chili Cool Cars
The 31st annual event is free to attend and features the area’s coolest cars and fiercest chili cooks, all competing for bragging rights in the Classic Car Show and Chili Cook-off on Saturday,September 21st.

Barktoberfest
Barktoberfest is a free, family- and dog-friendly community festival on Saturday, October 5th. It features a morning Wag & Walk, awesome vendor booths, and food trucks.
