On August 24, 2006, the International Astronomical Union voted in Prague to reclassify Pluto as a dwarf planet. This decision reduced the count of traditional major planets in our solar system from nine down to eight.
This week's speaker is Nikki Streegan, Housing Manager of Placer County Economic Development & Housing. Nikki will provide an update on programs and policies tailored to the unique needs of both East and West Placer County and how they are working to enhance our community’s access to affordable housing.

Placer County Library provides free and open access to services, programs, and materials that enrich, inform, empower, and entertain. We are committed to being a valuable source of information and lifelong learning to the residents of our communities.
