On June 22, 1944, U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs the G.I. Bill, an unprecedented act of legislation designed to compensate returning members of the armed services, known as G.I.s, for their efforts in World War II.
This week's speaker is Alex Wright, Vice Chair of the Rocklin Educational Excellence Foundation (REEF). He will be sharing their primary goal, to maximize the benefit of each student’s educational experience from kindergarten through high school graduation, so they can achieve their personal best. REEF raises and allocates money to create as many options as possible for the achievement of widespread academic excellence in the Rocklin Unified School District. REEF also raises parental and public awareness about the performance and educational needs of the Rocklin Unified School District.
Brewfest Recap
Last week, our own Brewfest Committee discussed the success and takeaways from this year's FUNdrasing event. The meeting was focused on collecting member feedback. The bottom line is we sold about 300 more tickets and made an additional $25k compared to last year. Great job, everyone, for another great event.
