Did someone say beer? Don't miss "Big Mike" Moore, as he will entertain and educate us with his extensive knowledge of all things Beer
Reminder: This week's meeting is offsite at Bennett's Westside Grill
Guatemala and Zambia WASH projects
Last week's speaker, Clayton Lee from the Sacramento Rotary Club, discussed the International Service Committee of the Rotary Club of Sacramento, which has participated in numerous international service projects and global grants in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). Clayton has been a Rotarian for many years and has a passion for bringing clean drinking water to countries that do not have it. He was the first Rotarian to put together a "super grant" that delivered millions of dollars to the world's biggest WASH project.
We also had a presentation of Paul Harris pins last week; it was Andrew's first and Paul's third. Featured below are Rich, Andrew, Paul, and Chris.
Creek Clean-up Project
Join Us this weekend for the South Placer Rotary Club Creek Clean-up Project!
Date: Saturday, March 29, 2025 Time: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM (or until we complete the activity) Location: Check-in at the trailhead between 5285 Whitney Blvd and 5305 Whitney Blvd (Farron Street entrance to Johnson Springview Park)
The South Placer Rotary Club, in collaboration with the City of Rocklin and Jacob Roe, Associated Students of Sierra College Director of Student Affairs, invites you to participate in our Creek Clean-up Project & Nature Preservation Activity and the 21 People for 21 Years Project!
This is a great opportunity to give back to the community, protect our natural spaces, and enjoy a rewarding day outdoors. Volunteers will help with an oak tree preservation plan to address the impact of the beavers, which involves painting at the base of the trees, removing litter, and contributing to the preservation of our local creeks and parks.
What to Bring:
Comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes
Work gloves (if available)
Reusable water bottle
A positive attitude and a willingness to make a difference!
All ages are welcome! Community service hours are available for students. Supplies and refreshments will be provided. Let’s work together to keep our local environment clean and thriving!
For questions or more information, please contact Ken Broadway.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Run Rocklin
Join us this weekend March 30, 2025, for Run Rocklin
An exciting day of running & walking at the Run Rocklin Health, Wellness, and Fund Raising Community Event.
Our Club with Interact students will provide water on the course and present awards to runners at the finish. Please contact Randy for more details and how you can help.
Run Rocklin has been a beloved community event for 21 years. It started as a small gathering and quickly grew to become one of the biggest and most popular events in the region. Over the years, we have evolved and adapted to meet the changing needs of our community, but our commitment to providing a fun and memorable experience for all has never wavered.
Rocklin Brewfest
The Rocklin Brewfest is Placer County's Premier Beer Event, put on by our club, the premier club of District 5180. This is our big fundraising event, so don't forget there are many opportunities to serve and support the club. Reminder: We all are part of the committee, so let's get out there and sell some tickets. If you have any questions or want to help with planning and at the event, reach out to Chris Delaney.
