June is National Safety month and it kicks off June 1st with National Heimlich Maneuver Day. On June 1, 1974, the stop-choking technique invented by Cincinnati surgeon Henry J. Heimlich is published in the medical journal Emergency Medicine. The Heimlich maneuver, which involves thrusting inward and upward on the abdomen of choking victims, becomes a go-to method for saving lives.
National Safety Month occurs annually in June and is dedicated to reducing the leading causes of preventable injuries and deaths at work, on the road, and in our homes.

Brewfest Prep
This week's speaker is our Brewfest Committee. Calling all members: this is a must-attend lunch, as the Brewfest Committee will provide an overview of our big event, our FUNdraiser, the Brewfest, coming this Saturday, June 6th. A great educational opportunity for new members to learn about the event, what is new this year, and for everyone to get an overview of the plan for the day. Don't miss it.

Rocklin Police Department
Last week's speaker was Chief Rustin Banks of the Rocklin Police Department. He shared updates and the department's activities that align with its mission to serve, protect, and promote a safe community. Our police department does great work keeping our community safe, and the numbers show it. And yes, there was some talk about e-bikes.

Brewfest

Did someone say Brewfest?

Our big FUNdraiser for the year, Brewfest, is this weekend. We all should be getting the word out, preparing for the BIG day, and, most importantly, selling tickets. This is the event that funds all the great work we do serving the community and beyond throughout the year. Let's make it the best Brewfest yet.

Did you know… This event takes the coordination and support of 100+ people. Calling all Volunteers, be sure to sign up to help for this great event.
