Susanville Sunrise Rotary heard a presentation from Superior Court Judge Tony Mallery today. Judge Mallery noted that courts are constrained by the governor and controlled by legislation. Of the three judicial branches, trial judges don't have the time that appellate and supreme court judges enjoy in making decisions. Judge Mallery said his goal is to be as sure as possible that the decision is right so it isn't appealed. He said he favors community service where appropriate, and individuals doing community service are available to participate in Rotary projects. Excellent presentation - thanks so much, Judge Mallery!
