The Reno Central Rotary meeting for September 6, 2016 will be an off-site meeting at The Nothing To It Cooking School. The meeting will start at 12 noon. We will follow our normal meeting protocol. Nothing To It will be giving us a presentation on new trends in food, along with a fantastic lunch.

Nothing To It! Culinary Center is located just two blocks from hwy 395, right off South Virginia Street. Heading south on South Virginia Street, Take a right on Crummer Lane, 1 block past Barnes and Noble. You'll find us on the right at the end of Crummer Lane.

·         Grew up in the South Bay Area

·         Education : B.S. in Social Work from Arizona State University and Culinary Degree from the New England Culinary Institute in Essex, Vermont

·         Restaurant Resume: La Folie in San Francisco, the Flying Fish in Seattle, and the Four Seasons in Seattle and Atlanta. 

·         Lara’s food styling has appeared in such magazines as Art Culinaire and she has had the honor of cooking at the James Beard House in New York on several occasions. 

·         Lara has hosted the Delicious by Davita television cooking segment series, is a contributing chef on FOX TV, and a frequent guest and judge  at a variety of food and wine festivals. 

·         Lara is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier and the International Association of Culinary Professionals

·         Became the culinary director of Nothing to It! in 2002 and has since had the pleasure of teaching over 50,000 home chefs the secrets of cooking like a pro.
