Roberta "Berta" Pickett
District Governor  - Rotary District 5190 (2020-2021)

 
Daughter of a Past District Governor, Roberta joined Rotary in 2002. She has been a member of District 5190 and the Rotary Club of Amador Upcountry since 2009. She served as Club President in 2012-13, and has been Program Chair, Webmaster,  Newsletter Editor, Treasurer and Secretary. At the District level, Berta has served as a RYLA and REGL counselor, as Assistant Governor for Area 7, and as District Trainer.  She is a lifetime member of the Fellowship of Rotarian Musicians, and a member of the Paul Harris Society and the Bequest Society. 
 
Berta attended Girls State, studied in Spain as an AFS Exchange Student, earned a BA in Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University and an MA in Organizational Management at the University of Phoenix. Berta retired in 2018 after 2 decades providing leadership coaching, consulting, and training, and another 2 decades in telecommunications.

In addition to founding Sacramento Coaches Association, she hosted a live TV-show in Jackson, CA for several years called “Insights on Leadership and Life,” and published “Hot, Sweaty, and Happy: Lessons Learned along the Trail”, a personal essay about finding joy in life’s journey.  She currently serves on the Sutter Amador Hospital Foundation Board. 

Berta and husband Dave have been married since 1986.  Dave is a recreational land-use advocate and a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. Their three children, spouses, and twelve grandchildren all live near Sacramento. Berta loves time with her large family and living in the mountains with all its adventures.
