March 4 Club Membership Meeting: Renee Romero, "An Interesting Case with a Super Bowl Ending"

We've invited Renee Romero of the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Forensic Science Division who will present an actual case where forensic evidences was key to determining the guilty party. We'll learn about DNA, fiber, and physical match evidence.  Is the real forensic science world like CSI?

Renee has been with WCSO Forensic Science Division since 1989. She has a BS in Chemistry from Michigan State and a Master's degree in Biology from UNR. She was a member of the FBI's Scientific Working Group on DNA Analysis Methods for 13 years and has been board chair of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors. She has been the director WCSO Forensic Science Division director since 2008.
