Careers in Advanced Manufacturing, Industry and Engineering

George W. Gussak, current Director of Dream It Do It Nevada, comes from a background of more than 20 years in publishing, media and fulfillment, first as publisher of L.A. Senior Magazine, Director of Fulfillment for Aaron Thomas and Associate/Victory Web and Graphics one of the largest political printers and consultants in Southern California then as a partner of Packaging Xpress, a fulfillment house in the San Fernando Valley. He relocated to Carson City in 2003 where he began work building American Dreamers Studio, a high quality film and video production house in Northern Nevada. His interest in manufacturing comes from a family steeped in the manufacturing traditions and when introduced to the philosophies of Dream It Do It knew he begin work towards changing the perception of manufacturing and help education create a stronger and more capable workforce to satisfy pressing and future needs.

Nevada is moving towards a more diversified base and one of the stronger directions is toward advanced manufacturing. Everyone knows about TESLA but as much as that will change the economic landscape we need to address today the need to make sure our schools can encourage enough students to take STEM based classes while looking at career pathways in engineering, manufacturing and vocational training. We are entering a time of transition and this is a good thing.
