The Revisit Korea Tour

The Korean government has been carrying out the Revisit Korea program that, since 1975, invites Korean War Veterans from 21 countries participating in the Korean War. The purposes of this program is to express the gratitude to those who sacrificed themselves to preserve freedom, peace, and democracy on the Korean peninsula and to promote friendship with those 21 countries. Many of the participants may recall the old Korea ruined and destroyed during and soon after the Korean War. However, what you see today is a surprise and a new country of contrast. Continued support from the 21 countries and hard working Korean people have made Korea grow fast and become a responsible member in the global community. Looking back at the early 1950s, when Korea and her people were attacked by the communist North and China, you came to a unknown country and fought courageously for the people you never met before. The tour began at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
