April 8 Club membership Meeting: Mark Foree, TMWA, Our Water Supply - The Impact of the Drought and Other Water Issues

Mark Foree, General Manager, Truckee Meadows Water Authority

At our April eighth club membership meeting, Mark will give an overview of our water system and talk about our area’s water supply, a topic of interest to all residents given our dry winter and the third consecutive dry year our region has experienced. 

Mark Foree, a professional Civil Engineer registered in Nevada and California, has more than 30 years of experience in the local water industry, including planning, design, operation and maintenance of complex water treatment and distribution systems. Since 2008, he has served as General Manager of Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA).

TMWA is a not-for-profit, community-owned water utility overseen by elected officials and citizen appointees from Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County. TMWA serves more than 330,000 residents throughout the Reno and Sparks area.

Mark is responsible for overseeing all operations at TMWA, including engineering and planning for new facilities; renewal and rehabilitation of existing facilities; water treatment; water quality; customer service; Truckee River operations; and hydroelectric operations.
