Our guest speaker is Laura Thorwarth, Regional Outreach Coordinator, Nevada Census 2020. Laura will talk about the importance of the census.
Laura can speak to leaders of organizations or different divisions about being “Trusted Messengers” about the importance of the census.
One of the ways she has been working with some organizations is to empower them to set up a station, or booth, with technology available to patients/participants to fill out the census. She can provide training to trusted messengers about guiding people through the census. There is always a need for help to fill in the gaps in those hard-to-count communities. Laura has Nevada-centric marketing materials that she can share with anyone who wants it.
Laura has traveled a lot, but Home still means Nevada, for her.
Due to precautions over the Corona Virus Pandemic, all April and May 2020 meetings will be held on-line. Members will receive an invitation. Members who wish to invite guests are asked to inform Carol Stiving, so that an invitation can be sent.
