Ukraine's healthcare infrastructure has been decimated as it defends itself against Russia's invasion. Ukrainians are not able to seek medical treatment because there is nowhere to go. We see the death and destruction in Ukraine, and ask, "How can we help?" Quincy Rotary found a way. Rotary District 5190 sent out a call and Quincy Rotary responded quickly vowing to contribute $1000 towards a Rotary Foundation Global Grant providing mobile health clinics to war-torn Ukraine. Each unit costs $40,000 and will help replace the destroyed healthcare facilities throughout Ukraine. The District is looking to fund 2 clinics. Plus, the District will match the club's contribution with the same amount, and The Rotary Foundation will match 80% of the club's contribution. Quincy Rotarian, Andy Ryback, who is himself half Ukrainian, genorously pledged an additional $1000 towards the purchase of the mobile units.
