January was an eventful month. We pushed all of our meetings back one week to avoid a conflict with New Years Day, and had our first meeting of 2019 on January 8th. New member, but long time contributor to our club, Nora Shelton was the program. We ask all new members to give a biography of themselves so that everyone can can get to know them better. Nora did a great job with her first PowerPoint presentation ever. Lots of fun pictures, and interesting parts of her life. Most interesting was the part that dance has played in her life. She did a fantastic job. Thanks Nora! Nice to meet you!
On January 15th the clubhouse was open for its first "Committee Coffee". There have been lots of questions about this. The Committee Coffee, conveniently held the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00, is an informal opportunity for any and all of the club committees (Public Image, Club Administration, Membership, Fly-In Pancake Breakfast, etc) to use the clubhouse as a venue for committee work meetings. Many of our club's committees have been pretty inactive, and the Club Administration committee thought that this idea would help to encourage folks to meet and start figuring out how to become more active. Even if you have not joined a committee, you are welcome join in, and enjoy some good coffee and tasty muffins. By attending a Committee Coffee you can learn something about what the various committees are up to and share your ideas with your Rotary Friends. What a great way to start the day ... And Perhaps you will be the spark the lights the fire!

Joleen was passionate about her ideas to enhance our club's service to the community at the first "Community Coffee." Stay tuned for more about this in February! Oh yeah...wake up Steve!
