We had a record setting Margaritaville in August and another amazing Fly-In Breakfast in September. Both events set club records for funds raised. We netted $7,010 selling the world's best Margaritas at the fair, and brought in $9,729 at the Fly-In. This concludes our major fundraising for the year for a total of over $20,000 to spend in our community to make life better for folks!
In October we started off with Todd Plimpton, the new hospital administrator at our breakfast meeting on the 2nd. He gave a great upbeat talk on how things are going at EPHC, and what the future holds.

At our lunch meeting on October 15th, District Rotary Foundation Chair Wyn Spiller gave an amazingly inspirational program about our Rotary Foundation (TRF). Wyn's presentation included some educational aspects of TRF as well. President Matt informed the club that we will be matching donations to TRF with recognition points, and the District has a special program with matching points for those who choose to sign up for Rotary Direct contributions as well. These matching points enable contributors to reach the Paul Harris level, and receive their Paul Harris pin much more quickly ... don't miss out on this special opportunity!! The President and club members really appreciated Past District Governor Wyn Spiller's wonderful program on The Rotary Foundation on October 15th.
Our Vocational Program was combined with our social in October as we met for drinks, tapas and meals with Nathan Prince, the 22 year old owner of the "Twisted Vine" in Blairsden. It was a wonderful event and all of those present learned how Nathan worked his way up from dish washer to restaurateur. It really is a lovely place to relax and enjoy some fine wine and excellent food so be sure and pencil in a visit to support this local boy done good!
The membership committee has been reactivated and will soon be sending out a member satisfaction survey through the mail. Please watch out for this, and give it some serious thought.
