October ended with a bang as our monthly social gathering was held at he club house on the 30th. It was a Halloween party extraordinaire! There was a great turnout with decorations by Kim and Sam, dinner provided by Chef Ptomaine (Kenny) and appetizers by Toni and Brian. The costumes were great and all present had a wonderful time!

Pirates, Neanderthals, Flappers, and scary golfers all came together! Chef Ptomaine put out an awesome Tri-Tip!

Kim brought brain jello, and Kitty Litter cake, and Tiana baked a ghostly chocolate cream pie,!

Dave and Liz have been doing some genealogy work and guess what hey found out?? Renee looked pretty swashbuckling as well!

November was "Foundation Month" and our first meeting featured a wonderful program on Our Rotary Foundation. Past District Governor and current Regional Rotary Foundation hair Steve Lewis (of the Carson City Club) made the presentation and did a great job.

Our lunch meeting on the 20th was dedicated to planning for our upcoming Community Supper on the 19th of December. President Kristen sent around a sign up sheet, and reminded us that this is an "all hands on deck" project. We are looking for members to donate a total of six 12 to 14 pound turkeys cooked, carved and put in an aluminum roasting pan. Also, we will be working together on December 18th (after our regular meeting) to finish preparation of mashed potatoes, stuffing, Gravy etc. Contact Van or Steve for more info.

Our November Social was held on November 15th. It was a progressive dinner hosted by "Team Delicious" (led by Captain Rachelle). It started out at Dave and Nora's home in Graeagle for cocktails and tapas. Nora's finger food spread was amazing, and Dave pours an awesome "Duck Fart". From there it was across the street to Liz and Dave Nelson's place for a delicious ham dinner. Then, we piled into the cars and ended the evening with desert at Klytia and Steve's house. There we were treated to amazing Tiramisu, and chocolate mousse. Klytia made some professional grade deserts, that's for sure! All in all it was a fantastic event, fun, friends, and fabulous food (excuse the alliteration)!

Dinner was ham and all the fixin's at Dave and Liz Nelson's beautiful home. Turns out Dave is also quite a painter, and we all admired several of his works hanging in the house.

Next Month "The Cruisers" led by Captain Matt have the duty. Check out the events section of the Echo for details as they emerge. For now, the Christmas Party on December 6th will be our monthly social. Grizzly Grill at 5:30. Be there with your white elephant gift in hand to share some happy holiday happenings!
