Roscoe, IL: The Northern Winnebago County Rotary Club members voted unanimously to change their name to the Rockton-Roscoe Rotary Club.  The club will continue to serve the Rockton, Roscoe, South Beloit and Shirland communities.

“We decided to change the club’s name to better describe the communities that we serve.  We have launched a re-branding campaign to promote the club’s impact on the community and increase membership” says, Melissa McCormick, Rotary Club President. “Our club was established in 1959.  We are celebrating our 60th year in the Stateline area.  Our club has supported the local elementary and high school students through dictionaries and scholarships for many years.  Education and literacy are very important to our members.”

The Rockton-Roscoe Rotary club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Sophia’s restaurant in Roscoe at 7AM. Please join us.  Feel free to visit our Facebook page or www.rotary.org for more information.
