Last Week's Speaker

 

Last week's speaker was Nicole Zook, Executive Director of the Youth Service Bureau of Rock Island County.

 

The mission of YSB is to strengthen and empower youth, families, and communities through effective counseling , prevention, and leadership. They do this through a wide range of behavioral health and delinquency prevention services available to residents of the Quad City area. The staff of YSB has the ability to offer: 

Their constituents come from:

• Low income
• Multiple-problem families
• High Mobility
• Historically underserved populations
• Families who cannot or will not go to a counseling center

• YB has the ability to provide family counseling.
• YB targets an underserved population.
• YSB's counselors are able to schedule initial intake appointment within a week of the referral.
• YB provides the only in-home counseling in our community.
• YB never turns anyone away because of their inability to pay
