This Monday, we will hear from Jeff Adamson with Guys In Ties. The topic for his presentation is “Go Ahead and Laugh and be Happy”.
   
Jeff Adamson has been performing comedy on stage for the last 34 years and has been the opening act for Jeff Dunham, Howie Mandel and Weird Al Yankovic.

District Governor John Hurley, and Assistant Governor Cindi Gramenz.
 
D6420 Governor John Hurley hails from the Loves Park Rotary Club. DG Hurley presented his goals and objectives for the coming year, and offered a great Rotarian "self - inventory" checklist and Action Plan for members to refer in examining their involvement in Rotary.

Youth Exchange: 
  • Gary Francque reported that Inbound Joao Miguel said farewell to Moline Rotary Club on July 15th.
  • A going home party was held at the home of host parent Gary Francque. It was attended by many friends and neighbors. 
 
Goodbye, Joao... ------> Welcome Home!
  • Joao departed Moline on July 17th from Quad Cities International Airport. It was a tearful goodbye, but after 15 hours of travel arrived back in Sao Paulo, Brazil met by his loving family.
  • Youth Exchange - What's next? Moline Rotary Club unfortunately does not have an outbound student nor an inbound student for the 2024-25 school year, but we hope to find student candidates and host families for the 2025-26 exchange year.
Outbound for 2024-25
  • District 6420 Youth Exchange Outbound - D6420 has five great outbound students heading out on exchange in August. The students and their parents recently attended the Central States Rotary Youth Exchange Summer Conference at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI where they received extensive orientation and training for their upcoming exchange adventure.  
Inbound for 2024-25
  • District 6420 Youth Exchange Inbound - D6420 will welcome six inbound students for the 2024-25 exchange year, Students are arriving in August from France, Belgium, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, and Japan. As District 6420 Compliance Coordinator Moline Rotarian Gary Francque has already been working with the students to secure the documentation necessary for them to obtain their visas, and Gary will continue to be engaged with those students at District events throughout the year. 
 
Community Event
Fellow Rotarian Kirk Marske, Moline Centre Program Manager, invited everyone to join your fellow squad Citians to a daytime downtown festival.
