"The greatest lesson in life is to know that even fools are right sometimes."

— Winston Churchill

Monday's Meeting
This week, our speaker is Dave Heller with the Quad Cities River Bandits. Dave is the president and CEO of Main Street Baseball and the majority owner and managing partner of three minor league baseball teams: the Quad Cities River Bandits (Advanced-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals), the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Advanced-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals), and the Billings Mustangs (Pioneer League, independent).

Last Week's Speaker

Last week we heard from Eric Griffith, Director of Parks and Recreation, for the City of Moline.

Eric walked us through some of the developments that are underway across the city. Some of the highlights:
- Pickle Ball is EVERYWHERE. New courts. New Parking.
- The new Riverside Riverslide is starting to take shape. The main pool is unchanged, but everything else is being upgraded or changed! The new slides are up. There will be a Lazy River (longest in the QCs). Many new shade structures. A new and improved snack bar. And, improved, enlarged parking. Plus much more!

He also talked about the improved Pavilion at the new Riverside Riverslide. It will be named in memory of former Moline Rotarian, Glenn Medhus.

Thank you, Eric, for all your good work, and for a very informational program!
