Monday's speaker will be Andrzej Kozlowski from the Sound Conservatory, located in the old Moline Library Carnegie building.

Last week's speaker was Joao Grusca Miguel, our Rotary Exchange Student from Brazil.

Joao guided through his beautiful country. 

Joao's presentation was one of the best student presentations that we've seen. He was very thorough explaining where he lives starting with a world view, right down to his neighborhood, and into his local Rotary club!

His city of Sorocaba is a very modern, heavily populated city with an industrial base for its economy.

Capybaras are a common site throughout the city!

Everyone in Joao's family is involved in Rotary. Even his aunts and uncles are members! Pictured above is Joao's family, including his mother, brother and father. On the far left is an exchange student from the U.S. that lived with his family and was a big influence in not only teaching him to speak English, but convinced him the America was the place to go for his exchange. We are so glad he did!
