Last week we heard another installment of our Club Business.
Public Image:
Public Image Chair, RJ Jacobs described some of the great news media coverage of various Rotary programs resulting from the efforts of he and Craig DeVrieze including articles, photos and videos. RJ explained how our Moline Rotary Club can benefit from promoting and publicizing its projects and programs though a relationship with the local media.
Community Needs:
Director of Community Services, Mike Wendt gave a presentation regarding the work done by the Community Needs Committee. He also explained the sources of some of the funding.
Clubrunner:
President Sam Moyer gave a presentation regarding the benefits of members utilizing Clubrunner, Moline Rotary's website, molinerotary.org, and Rotary International's Clubrunner web site rotary.org. Sam reviewed the resources available to members and clubs on Clubrunner through "MyRotary.org" on the rotary.org site, including members lists, club information, members' contributions and Rotary International programs.
MolineRotary.org, our club website, is a rich resource of information on our club, upcoming speakers and events, our leadership, our projects, our members, and more importantly information on your committees and commitments.s

Student Rotarians:
Being President's Day, the students had the day off from school!
Interact Club News:
Gary Francque reported on his visit to MHS Interact Club on February 11th. A presentation regarding RYLA 2025 was given and students were invited to participate in RYLA. Interact Club President Lucas Eaton made a presentation to 39 students regarding several service projects being considered by the club for Spring projects. Interact Club faculty advisor Shannon Finneran presented Gary with a "thank you" card signed by club members for our financial contribution to the 2024 Student Hunger Drive spearheaded by Interact Club at MHS.
Youth Exchange:
Club Youth Exchange Officer and District 6420 Compliance Officer Gary Francque will be attending the annual conference of the North American Youth Exchange Network, February 20-22 in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Gary will be one of four D6420 Youth Exchange Team members attending the training conference. NAYEN is an association of 167 Rotary districts from the United States, Canada, and Mexico dedicated to promoting RYE and supporting clubs and districts involved. NAYEN is responsible for the development of extensive training resources for Exchange Students and parents, Host Families, and Rotarians.
Happy Bucks Recognition:
Mike Wendt was recognized and applauded for his recent selection as the Ruhl & Ruhl "Employee of the Year" and for receiving an "Excellence in Service Award". Mike Wendt is a Managing Broker and In-House Counsel at Ruhl and Ruhl Realtors.
