Last week we were fortunate to have two presentations! First up was Marcia Erickson, Certified Business & Executive Coach, Action COACH - Excel Edge, and her associate Kate Rothenberger. They both spoke about the Women of Impact - Go Red for Women program, encouraging healthy lifestyles for women. 
Our Second presenter was Roy Gustafson - Astronomical League Correspondent, Popular Astronomy Club of the Quad Cities. Roy talked us through the astrological phenomenon of a Solar Eclipse. He talked about where to see it at 100% Totality, when to see it, and what we can expect locally. Roy is clearly an expert, and has many tips and tricks, but the one he stressed most was, "Do not look directly at a Solar Eclipse without proper eye protection." Except during 100% Totality, where 100% of the damaging rays of the sun are blocked for a very short time. But that will not be here in the Quad Cities.
