Today, our speaker will be Austin Gross from Rosecrance Rehabilitation Center. Rosecrance serves the Quad Cities through two locations in Davenport and Moline. Their outpatient services provide strength-based programs, counseling, and other assistance for adolescents and adults who seek therapy and support in their recovery journey for substance use and mental health disorders.
Past Pres. / Foundation Chair Alan Anderson displays the official Louisville Slugger baseball bat award earned by Moline Rotary Club for best Rotary Foundation giving in District 6420 during 2021-22. Alan presented the award to member Mike Steffenson in recognition of his extraordinary Foundation giving.

2022 Rotary District 6420 Conference Report
Moline Rotarians Laura Davis and Gary Francque attended the 2022 Rotary District 6420 Conference November 4th & 5th at Northern Illinois University, Dekalb. The annual training conference focused on Ethics in Leadership Excellence and featured eight outstanding speakers including three world class speakers. All shared their expertise in ethics and leadership with 100 Rotarians from northwest Illinois. The conference silent auction raised $3365 for Rotary’s Polio Plus campaign, but Rotarians were challenged to step up to a special surprise District Literacy fund drive that will provide desperately needed schoolbooks for hundreds of recently arrived Ukrainian refugee children at St. Nicholas Cathedral School and Christopher Columbus School in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village. Rotarians personally selected and paid for books from a book fair display of hundreds of books requested by the teachers. Rotarians attending the conference donated an astounding $10,000 in books. The book fair sponsor Usborne Books pledged $1 for every $2 donated, bringing the total donation to $15,000!
