Rotary District 6420 once again conducted Rotary Youth Leadership Academy May 6-8 at NIU's Lorado Taft Field Campus at Lowden State Park, Oregon, IL.

 

 

Recruiting students was difficult while recovering from a two year hiatus due to COVID, but RYLA 2022 hosted 40 high school students from northwest Illinois to participate in a weekend of intensive leadership development. RYLA focuses on respect, integrity, inclusiveness, and teambuilding while developing communications and personal skills.

 

 

This year Moline Rotary's Gary Francque served as RYLA Director. We hope to return to previous levels of participation of 100 to 120 students in 2023.
