Smoke Alarm Installation Event!

Dear Fellow Rotarians,
It's not too late to volunteer! The Red Cross in partnership with Quad City area fire departments is hosting a HUGE smoke alarm installation event on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We received almost 400 appointments from Quad Citians in need of smoke alarms and we are short on volunteers. If you or someone you know can help – please reply to my email or you can register directly at soundthealarm.org. We’ll have a light breakfast, taco bar lunch and free t-shirts for everyone who volunteers.
You work in teams of two – one installer and one person to help the residents create their home fire escape plan. We will start the event with a short training and then head out with each team assigned to visit 5-6 homes to complete the installations. It’s a meaningful way to spend a few hours and help others in our community. Please join us for Sound the Alarm – we need your help!
