Another Rotary Youth Exchange Year has begun!

Moline Rotarians Kimberly Crane. Gretta Knight and Gary Francque along with host families Drymiller-Bunte, Stewarts and Fisks welcome Halenka at QCIA. 
 
MOLINE - Rotary International's 2017-2018 Youth Exchange year is underway! One of Rotary's flagship peace programs, Rotary Youth Exchange is the world's largest and most admired student exchange program, exchanging over 8000 high school students annually in over 50 countries.  
 
The Moline Rotary Club is once again sponsoring a Moline High School student to study in another country, and hosting a student from another country as well. MHS student Arianna Rodehaver will be leaving soon to study in Japan. On August 11th Moline Rotarians and Rotary host families welcomed Halenka from Belgium at the Quad Cities International Airport. Halenka will be staying with three Moline host families while attending Moline High School during her 2017-18 school year.
 
Rotary District 6420 is sponsoring seven "outbound" students to other countries, and ten "inbound" students from Brazil, Columbia, Taiwan, Slovak Republic, Germany, Finland, Belgium Argentina and Thailand this year.
