Moline Rotary Announces Annual Grant Deadline 

A grants submission deadline of March 1st has been announced by Rotary Club of Moline. Non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply if they serve the citizens of Moline, Illinois and the surrounding area, including the Quad Cities. 


Guidelines 

The Rotary Club of Moline has set forth guidelines for community donations by our Community Needs and Literacy committees in an attempt to concentrate on areas of need within our community (IL Quad Cities area, emphasis on Moline/Coal Valley area). Donation requests should fall within the following areas of interest: 

  • Youth At-Risk 
  • Literacy 
  • Education Events ● Poverty and Hunger 
  • Environmental Quality 
  • Community Safety 

The following requests will NOT be considered by the Community Needs and Literacy Committees: 

  • Political fundraising 
  • Ongoing operating expenses 
  • Operating costs of start-up programs
  • Events or activities that benefit individuals or exclusive groups of individuals 
  • Capital expenditures 

Proposals should include one printed copy of the completed grant application form, found here, along with the following information: 


Proposals: [Request for $1,500 or less] 

  • Application Cover Sheet for Request of Funding
  • Proof of 501(c)3 status if applies
  • Organizational Mission Statement
  • Description of Program/Project
  • How will your program/project serve or benefit Moline?
  • Total costs needed for project
  • Other sources of additional funds to complete project if needed above Rotary grant
  • If you do not receive the full amount of your ask from Rotary, how will that impact your project?
  • Statement of how you will advise the community or media of your partnership with the Rotary Club of Moline

Proposals: [Requests more than $1,500]

  • Everything from the above list plus:
  • List of current board members
  • Annual Report/Audited Financial Statement
  • Current agency/project budget
  • Disclosure of any relationships to the Rotary Club of Moline or its board members.

Recipient of funds agrees to attend Moline Rotary Meeting to accept funds with photo for Rotary Promotional Publications. All projects that are funded are requested to supply the Rotary Club of Moline with a report within 30 days of the conclusion of the event/project that includes the following:

  • How did you use the donation/contribution?
  • How did the community partner notify the community or media of the funding?

Box 964 Moline, Illinois 61266-0964. All grant request materials necessary to receive funds are due to Moline Rotary at the same address and must be postmarked no later than March 1st.
