Tahoe-Douglas Rotary is one of 33,000 clubs around the world, comprised of a trusted group of volunteer leaders drawn together by fellowship and a passion to strengthen the South Shore Lake Tahoe Community and improve humanity worldwide. And we have the most fun doing it!

Since 1962, Tahoe-Douglas Rotary has worked to fill needs within the community. The Club generates thousands of dollars each year and volunteers countless hours of time to help.

We clean up roads, parks, trails, and beaches … We provide food, coats, books, and support for the under-privileged … We build kiosks, shelters, signs, scoreboards, and even entire parks for the use of our community … We provide college and vocational scholarships … We fund projects and equipment for Boy Scout and Eagle Scout troops, search and rescue, police, fire, and schools … We organize events like a women’s shelter kids’ holiday party, “Green Eggs and Ham Day,” music, speech, and culinary contests, and career days … We facilitate youth leadership programs and international student exchanges … We support organizations like Live Violence Free, Boys and Girls Club, Tahoe Youth and Family Services, Tahoe Arts Project, and specialty projects like the Angora Relief Fund. Most of all, WE HAVE FUN making a difference in our community!
