2020 Community Grants

A Church Teen Program – Funds were made available for the ongoing teen program

 

Ark Valley Helping Hands - Funds will be used to help support senior activities during the COVID-19 Crisis

 

Baba’s Magical Christmas – Funds were provided to help with the purchasing of gifts for children throughout the community were are in need

 

Boys & Girls Club of Chaffee County – Provided funds helped in the development of a new picnic area for the Boys and Girls Club.

 

Caring And Sharing – Funds were provided to help support the Emergency Winter Shelter

 

Chaffee County Visitors Bureau – Funds used to aid in the purchase of masks to be distributed throughout the community for use during the COVID-19 Crisis

 

Collegiate Peaks Trout Unlimited – The funds provided to Collegiate Peaks Trout Unlimited aided an educational and environmental program for the youth of Chaffee County

 

Colorado TINTS – Funds provided assistance to the production of “The Story of Mother Jones”

 

Family & Youth Initiatives – Funds were provided for the Nurturing Father’s Program

 

Full Circle Restorative Justice – Provided funds were used for the “Peer to Peer” mediation training program

 

GARNA – Funds were provided for the Youth Ecological Literacy Program (YELP)

 

Guidestone – Funds were provided to Guidestone for their Community and School Farm program

 

Habitat for Humanity – Funds were provided for the purchase of much needed new equipment

 

Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteers – Funds were used to develop an advertising campaign for the Chaffee Shuttle program which provides transportation

 

Rotary Club of Punta Gorda, Belize – This international project provided funds to the Rotary Club of Punta Gorda, Belize to help defray the costs of waste water improvements for 2 primary education schools in their community

 

Salida Boy Scouts, Troup 60 – Funds provided a scholarship to allow a young boy in need to participate in the Boy Scout program

 

Salida Circus – Funds were provided to support the Salida Circus New Year’s Camp

 

Salida Senior Citizens – Funds were used to help in purchasing food for the annual Christmas Dinner for the Senior Citizens Center

 

The Chaffee County Community Foundation – Funds were provided to assist with the Chaffee County Community Foundation Emergency Relief fund which provides relief to individuals throughout Chaffee County whose lives have been seriously disrupted due to COVID-19

 

The Grainery – Funds were provided to help purchasing food for those in need during the COVID-19 crisis

 

The Love Fund – The crisis funds were provided for the Love Fund project, more specifically supporting “Laundry Love” which provided many loads of laundry for families and individuals form our community who have a hard time paying for this basic need of washing clothes

 

The New Caring & Sharing – Funds are to be applied to the Winter Benevolent Project through The Resource Center which runs from November – April 30, the coldest part of the year in Chaffee County. This program provides funds to someone in need and may vary from tents, sleeping bag, food, a shower to keep clean, gasoline for a vehicle, utility assistance, or rent assistance and more.
