Club Service.
The following are examples of Club Service Opportunities. We encourage you to be a part of one (or more) of these committees as they are the heart of our organization.
Club Budget Committee:
This team prepares a proposed budget for the upcoming year that is submitted to the Club Board of Directors. The committee becomes familiar with the entire operation of the club.
Public Relations Committee:
This team is responsible for communications within the Club and to the community. They also help maintain the club website, social networking and develop all club printed materials. The committee is also responsible for public relations and promoting our Rotary club to the community through the various news media including our local newspaper, online news, and radio stations.
Club Administration Committee:
This team is responsible for helping with the management of the meetings each week by working with our computer to set up the Zoom and Owl system. This team also helps in maintaining a record of all club information which it believes to have historical value, reviewing and preserving club records and periodically updating the permanent history of the club.
Membership Committee:
This team is responsible for seeking new members for our club. They develop prospects for membership, and explain membership requirements and expectations to interested applicants. The committee also deals with current member requests for classification changes, leaves of absence, resignations, and other related issues. This team is responsible for encouraging new members to participate in the activities of the club and become active and involved Rotarians. It assists in the orientation of new members and supervises the club’s mentoring program. It also monitors the resignation process. The team develops activities to provide fellowship for Rotarians and their families outside the weekly meeting.
Rotary After Hours Committee:
This committee helps coordinate our quarterly events that celebrate our membership and build camaraderie among our members and their families and friends.
Rotary Foundation Committee:
This committee builds the relationship between our club and Rotary International. In addition to encouraging members to participate in the EREY program ("Every Rotarian Every Year"), this group helps keep our organization apprised of the Rotary Foundation.
Nominating Committee:
The committee is responsible developing the future leaders of our organization. It is primarily made up of past presidents of the organization.
