Meet Harry Payton
2024-2025 President
Retiring after 45 years as a practicing physician, Harry now has time to spend more time with Rotary. He has served for 8 years on the HRRMC Hospital Board and is now on the Foundation Board. Harry recently joined Guidestone on the Board.
Harry received his osteopathic medical degree from Oklahoma State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his internship at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, and his residency at Maine Medical Center.
Payton practiced in Maine and relocated to Salida with his wife, Debbie, a registered nurse and certified oto-tech.
This year, Harry’s Strategic Priorities include:
To Sustain a vibrant membership and strengthen the club structure.
To successfully deliver projects that enable humanitarian services for the community.
To review, revise, and explore current fundraising projects to ensure that Salida Sunrise Rotary can continue to provide funding for important community projects and respond in times of need.
To enhance engagement with the community to address current and future challenges.
