Who's A Lucky Ducky??  It Could Be YOU!

 

The “Lucky Ducky” Race on September 1, 2019!   WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The race will take place at 12 noon at Frantz Lake -- where you will watch up to 2,500 ducks race to the finish line. What a fun way to celebrate the end of summer! The fun day will begin at 10:30 am with games for kids and the young at heart at Frantz Lake.  Here’s the best part, the first place “Lucky Duck” will be taking home a $1,500 prize and a bunch of other ”Lucky Ducks” will participate in over  $7,000 worth of additional prizes.

Funds raised will be placed in Salida Sunrise Rotary’s Charitable fund and disbursed into the community in the form of scholarships, grants to non-profits, and other Sunrise Rotary projects. You can be a part of the fun and excitement, and help Rotary do good in our community by purchasing your own “Lucky Ducky” race tickets. Tickets are only $10!

Lucky Ducky Race 

Official 2019 Lucky Ducky Race Rules

 

  1. A maximum of 3,500 tickets will be sold.  Chances of winning are determined by the number of tickets sold and the number of prizes available.  Winners need not be present to win. 
  2. The race ducks will be released at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Race Day.  The race course will be established by Salida Sunrise Rotary (hereafter referred to as SSR).  All ducks will be provided by SSR and will remain the property of SSR.
  3. Ticket entries must be complete with a legible first and last name and contact information to be entered in the race.  
  4. Once the ducks are launched, they are on their own.  No attempt to free or interfere with any duck is permitted.  Attempts may be made by SSR, and only SSR, to keep the ducks moving.  It is possible that some ducks may never complete the Race, due to natural hazards or impediments in the water.  Ticket holders assume this risk.
  5. SSR reserves the right to change the location, time and format of the race. In the event the race cannot take place, SSR will hold a lottery drawing for the prizes.   SSR also reserves the right to add prizes to the prize list.  
  6. The person whose name appears on the ticket corresponding to a winning duck will be awarded the associated prize based upon the order that ducks are retrieved at completion of the race.  For example, the ticket holder for the 6th duck across the finish line wins Prize #6.
  7. All proceeds after deducting costs will go to Salida Sunrise Rotary Charitable Fund, Inc.
  8. Prize winners’ names will be posted after the race.  SSR will attempt to notify winners by telephone, email and/or in the media.  A list of winners and prizes awarded will also be posted on SSR’s website (www.salidasunriserotary.org) the day after the Lucky Ducky Race.  Identification is required to claim any prize won.
  9. All decisions and interpretations of rules, regulations and final determination of winners shall be made by SSR.
  10. Winners are responsible for paying any and all taxes and similar fees on any prizes won.
  11. Prize winners consent to the promotional use of their names and photographs without compensation.
  12. Prize letters and/or certificates will instruct winners on any prize stipulations and how to redeem their prize(s).  If you have not received your prize notification, you must contact sunriserotaryofsalida@gmail.com prior to October 1st.  Prizes must be redeemed by the Expiration Date on the prize notification.  Any taxes or costs for shipping and handling of a prize are the responsibility of the winner.
  13. By entering, winners acknowledge that SSR has no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from the acceptance, possession, or use of the prize.
  14. Your ticket stub can be redeemed once as a coupon for $10 off at one of the listed restaurants when the total bill for the table is $50 or more.  Only one ticket stub can be redeemed at a table.  The restaurant will mark the $10 coupon/ticket stub as redeemed.
