The service projects committee is responsible for conducting service projects that ensure the proper use of club funds and Rotarians’ time and that benefit those in need.  The role of the committee is to lead or find members to lead the club’s service initiatives and to help develop and implement educational, humanitarian and vocational service projects that benefit the local community and communities in other countries

For the Salida Sunrise Rotary chapter, the specific goal is to provide ongoing community service programs or events for club participation that will directly benefit the local community.  Each member will volunteer for at least two  chapter events during the Rotary fiscal year of July 2014- June 2015.

Routinely collect volunteer hours from club members on projects sponsored by the club AND community projects not sponsored by the club.  The intent is to track metrics against the Sunrise Service Committee goal as well as Rotary International goals.
