The Lucky Ducky Race and Community Celebration August 23, 2026!
On Sunday, August 23, 2026 the lightning flashed and the rain fell but the ducks loved it! Creatively decorated ducks raced down the Arkansas River to cheering spectators. Public Fun Races gave community members the opportunity to buy a ticket on the spot to sponsor a duck in a 10-duck race. Local nonprofits had fun activities for the kids. The Salida Circus had a wonderful performance.
