Rotary Meeting Oct 14

An excellent presentation by Michael Newman on World Neighbors, a Canadian chapter of a virtual NGO organization. They have projects in Nepal, Honduras and Ghana. WN Canada supports local organizations that build on traditional knowledge and values to help people to analyze and solve their own problems, spending 3-6 years in each project. Funds are raised here, matched with CIDA funds and every cent goes to the projects, mainly in the form of salaries and loans. Our club has donated several thousands over the past few years. El Pres Ryan encouraged all club members to attend the Coyotes home game on October 22 where the iron lung will be on the ice before the game to promote our End Polio Now campaign. 11 members and 3 guests pulled for Vaughn Denis to draw the joker but alas...
