Robert K. Glenn, Ph. D.

Robert K. (Bob) Glenn became the 11^th President of the University of Houston-Victoria on August 1, 2018.  Dr. Glenn came to Victoria after ten years of service at Athens State University where his great grandfather, a Methodist minister, preceded him at Athens, having served as President of the institution when it was still a Methodist institution, Athens Female College, in 1902.  Starting his career as a Hall Director, Dr. Glenn served at five other institutions, Birmingham-Southern College, University of North Alabama, Missouri State University, Middle Tennessee State University and Athens State University.  He met his wife, Laura Whitehurst, while they were both students at Birmingham-Southern College.  They married in 1978 and have three adult children.
