At a date not yet announced, during the month of August the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise will welcome Arnau Quirante Viladrich as the club’s 36th Incoming Rotary Youth Exchange student and third student from Spain since the club was incorporated in 1986.  Arnau will be hosted by the club and three local families during the Rotary year 2019-2020.

Nestling in the pine-clad hills near and above Barcelona, the ancient terracotta-tiled town of Moia, with a population of 6190 (2018) provide Arnau and his parents and two siblings with a peaceful and pleasant home environment.  Arnau shares that he is privileged to live in a small town where he is able to see the stars every night, something that has awakened his passion for astronomy and physics, and three to four minutes to his school by foot where he enjoys learning and playing basketball.

Arnau, a 16 year old energetic student, keen on learning about and experiencing a different and new culture and perfecting his English, will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manresa-Bages located in Rotary District 2202.

Check out a Featured Portfolio of Arnau, which includes many photos, in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program Section on this club website found within the New Generations Committee (Youth Programs) section located in the Service Areas and Committees Site within the Site Pages on the left side of the Home Page.
