A major humanitarian project focused on Disease Prevention and Treatment and Maternal and Child Health, two of the seven areas of focus of The Rotary Foundation, was approved by The Rotary Foundation.  Approval was received on May 20th for an “Early Childhood Stimulation and Caregiving Training” program in the Nuevo Capital community of Honduras.

The project involves caregiver training focused on preventing childhood diseases and helping children reach their full potential in the development of gross and fine motor skills, language development and social interaction skills. This training will ensure that children have a better chance of success when they enter primary school.
