Pathways Abilities was presented with a cheque for $10,000 to enable it to outfit a used van which will provide transportation for those who rely on wheelchair access to participate in activity services. This program provides opportunities for 90 individuals to develop skills and abilities that promote self-esteem and independence through productive meaningful involvement in recreation, leisure, retirement, volunteerism, employment and skill development.  Charisse Daley from Pathways accepted the cheque on behalf of Pathways Abilities.

Hope for the Nation received financial support from the Sunrise Rotary Club to enable it to continue to institute ‘Food for Thought Program’ which provides vulnerable children with a backpack containing food to take home for the weekend.  Patricia Phillips (Executive Director) and Patti Hoy (Board Chair for Hope for the Nation) accepted the $9,025 cheque.

A third cheque for $10,000 was presented on the last day of the RibFest to JoeAnna’s House.  Darlene Haslock, the recently hired manager of JoeAnna’s House accepted the cheque.   The club has now donated a total of $39,280 since 2018, which continues to assist the Rotary Clubs throughout the Okanagan and the Interior Health Region to achieve their commitment of financial support totaling $250,000 for JoeAnna’s House.
