Fun at the Munro’s
The meeting started early for those intrepid individuals willing to tackle the pool table.

Then we were treated to a barbecue, salads and all sorts of other goodies, thanks to Matt, Brian, Len, Jan, Annette and many others who worked to keep us fed and happy.

We did take the opportunity to do some arranging for the Australia Day breakfast.
This was a particularly enjoyable evening. Our particular thanks go to Brian and Jan for their hospitality.

Not content with providing a great venue, great company, and great food, they also provided a stunning light show. (Thank you to Mary-Anne for the picture).

Brain Teaser

A man describes his daughters, saying, “They are all blonde, but two; all brunette but two; and all redheaded but two.” How many daughters does he have?

The Australia Day Breakfast
We were blessed with (almost) perfect weather for the 2025 Australia Day breakfast. The organization was spot-on. The Rotarians turned up in numbers and behaved like a well-oiled team.
We probably supplied over 150 meals.
I asked one (older) lady how she enjoyed the breakfast. She replied, “I think it’s the best I have ever had”. High praise, indeed.
Congratulations to Graeme and all who helped make the day a special one.

We were also favoured by some Leeton Rotary Royalty (both Nick and Emma Beecher are past outgoing exchange students of the club and we know how much Mary-Anne has contributed).

With apologies to anyone who happens to be of Irish heritage.
Two drunken Irishmen in a graveyard.
Paddy starts reading the gravestones.
"Mick" he says;
Would you look at this, a feller here who was 90 when he died!"
"Who's that?" says Mick.
"Somebody called O'Toole from Kerry," he replies.
Mick says, "Never mind him, there's a feller here called Murphy, was 99 when he died! From Castletown of all places!
"Well thats nothing!" says Paddy.
"What about what written on this feller's stone, here right beside the gate!"
"The stone says 147!"
"147? thats amazing!" says Mick.
"Who was he?"
"Well according to the stone, its somebody called Miles from Dublin................................!"
