It was great to see so many people supporting the L&D last week.
Such a hot day but an enthusiastic turnout by the members.
All good journeys start with good planning, and given that it was 43 degrees I opted to drive the distance. I'm glad I didn't follow Google's driving instructions though because NSW's finest boys in blue were parked next to the Ambo station.
The spell that stops me winning raffles has no power outside the MIA Club - providing me with the perfect gift for regifting at my work Xmas party the next night .
I wasn't the only winner that night though! Our Carmel scored big time, and we made some art in the process. Ceci n'est pas un meat tray.

Hi All - Sooner here! Still remember you guys giving me that name and I still use it to explain my name to English speakers - My name is Sune - like Sooner or later :)
I would have loved to be here in person today - I have so many fond memories from these meetings. I always enjoyed going - I loved all the friendly bantering and the warm and caring atmosphere.
I owe you guys a tremendous thank you. I can’t begin to describe how many times I’ve thought back on my year in Australia - it had a huge impact on whom I’ve become as an adult.
I’ve also really taken your mission of bringing different cultures together to heart. I have created my own company that built an international network of co-living homes, where we currently have more than 60 different nationalities living together in units of 4-8 people and really getting to know each other and building lasting bonds.
We’re 30 people in the company and we are growing fast and our mission is to “make anyone feel at home, anywhere in the world” which is a mission that is very much inspired by my experiences with Rotary.
So a deep felt, genuine thank you for being so incredibly generous with me. I do feel like I owe a lot to you guys and hope to be able to repay some of all you’ve given me, if not to you, then to people I meet on my path and Rotary here in Denmark.

The casual vacancy in the position of president elect has been filled, subject to approval by the membership at the upcoming AGM where the 2020-21 Board will also be confirmed.

PARTY TIME
Tomorrow, Thursday 28th November, is our last speaker for 2019, Alex Marley.
This Sunday 1st December it's our annual Ham Raffle - please speak to Dan about volunteering. We need your pluck, your spirit, and your competence handling cash in high pressure sales environments.
Next week Thursday 5th December it's Party Time and we hope that everyone has contacted Bass and let him know whether or not they're attending and how many guests they're bringing.
Special Dietary Needs will be catered for as long as those who require food other than Italian inform Bass next week, so that he can give the restaurant a couple of days notice.
The Party Bus picks up from the Hydro car park at 5.30pm on the day.
Week after next 12th Dec we will Chillax at the Wade and also have an AGM. Easy peasy! Our President will make an announcement this week about the schedule for meetings over the holiday period.
