Last meeting was busy and with a lot of 'firsts'. Our first meeting of the new year, led by our Commandante President Anthony.

Each Director led a brainstorming and planning session to set the direction of their area of responsibility for the coming twelvemonth.

And we had a very good first dinner served by Matt Gatt from The Hungry Fox.

Some reports from Directors were long-winded, some passionate:

Some were so quick we could hardly capture a clear image:

Dan and the Boys grilled up a storm for a clamoring public *crickets*

The weather was good at least, and there was good music supplied by the talented Anita & Johnny Houldsworth, and Town Band leader Ruth, in their band 'Three Tiers'.

(I may be somewhat biased since that's my Mum singing.)

This coming meeting (11th July) we hope to pin down volunteers to help out setting up the Prohibition Bar on Saturday morning 13th July from 8.00am onwards. It was agreed that one big effort at the start of the day would share the workload as well as avoid the forecast rain of the previous day (Friday 12th).
Thanks to our dedicated and creatively gifted Monique, everything is prepared ready to go, we just have to move it into position, assemble, and take our places - it is just quite a lot of stuff to move though, which is why we need more people for that first two hours.

See you soon and I hope you have your period outfits ready for the weekend!
