A Quiet Night

Last week's dinner was a quiet one, with our guest Tracey unfortunately unable to make it. We hope to see her on the 10th of October, but we will keep members informed.

The light shines on those who don't skip meetings! And eating what looks like a giant cake for dinner? Yum!

This week we are meeting at the Water Commission building for pizza and a private tour of the Underworld exhibition.

Next week on the 3rd of October, Rob Houghton is giving a presentation at our regular MIA Club dinner meeting, all about the Active Farmers program for improving the physical and mental wellbeing of farmers.

We haven't decided on this, but there is a good chance that we will not have a meeting on the 17th of October, and instead ask members to attend Leeton Central's fundraiser at the Roxy on the following night, Friday 18th October. The Board will figure it out at our meeting on the 10th and I will let everyone know.

24th October as previously mentioned we will have Tammy Cottam from the Seniors Rights Service to tell us about how we can go about protecting the rights of our elders in care.

And Oktoberfest has been confirmed for Thursday the 31st October at The Wade Hotel. I personally can't wait - this is the right time of beer- I mean year, for it. There are a few beer festivals happening over the next month all around the Riverina and northern Victoria. Google it!

Terry is still unwell with a vicious virus and I hope everyone is sending healthy vibes to her in her time of need.

Instead of vibes, I am sending memes. Get better!

Best Wishes,
